Nigerian musician Burna Boy made history by headlining the opening ceremony of the 2023 UEFA Champions League alongside Real Madrid player Vinicius Jr’s girlfriend, Anitta. The two performed at the campaign opening for Manchester City and Inter Milan. Burna Boy performed his hits “It’s Plenty” and “Last Last” before Anitta took over. After Manchester City won their first ever UCL title, Burna Boy was invited to join pundits including Thierry Henry to discuss the game. He confessed his love for the legends and identified Henry as his childhood hero.

A few minutes after Manchester City had clinched their First ever UCL title, Burna Boy was invited to join the likes of Thierry Henry and his co-pundits while they analysed the game.
The Nigerian singer who couldn’t contain his joy confessed his love for the legends and particularly identified Henry as his childhood hero.
While they discussed further, he was pushed to allow Henry access to the beauty of his expensive grill chains detailing to them how his late friend who is in the customised chains helped boost his career.
He further briefly performed for them orally and expressed that he never wanted Manchester City to clinch the UCL trophy because he is a Manchester United fan.
