Mayore Beauty, a makeup brand that has been operating for about three years in Brazil, has officially launched in Nigeria. The brand aims to bridge the gap in the quality of beauty products in the country and create job opportunities for over 3,000 young Nigerians. Mayore Beauty intends to saturate the Nigerian market with a brand that appreciates the natural beauty of women, showing them their value by providing quality and affordable products. The brand has been successful in Brazil and has plans to penetrate the Nigerian market using marketing strategies such as collaborating with makeup artists, partnering with the media, road activations, and hosting a fashion show. Mayore Beauty’s chairman disclosed that Mayore has no competition in Nigeria, and the brand intends to commence free training for young makeup artists by equipping them with business structural ideas.

Makeup brand, Mayore Beauty, has officially launched in Nigeria after successfully running operations for about three years in Brazil.

Addressing journalists at a media parley in Lagos, chairman of the firm, Silver Oghayore, noted that the beauty brand in less than a year had been able to bridge the gap in the quality of beauty products in the country as well creating job opportunities for over 3000 young Nigerians.

Oghayore said, “We find this the most critical point at our company’s foundation and base here in Nigeria. We appreciate you all  joining us on the birth of a fantastic new brand coming to Nigeria. The brand Mayore, intended to value and show appreciation for women’s beauty.

“We bend on saturating the Nigeria market with a brand that appreciates natural beauty of women, showing them their value by providing quality products at an affordable price.

“There are so many international brands popping up in the market but what Mayore is doing is filling in the gap in niche of quality products that competes with any international brand. We are not just concerned about Nigerian women but African and black people at large.

“Our products is what will present us as black as kings and queens and telling the world we are Africans. We have taken the pains to develop products that rival any international brand and of course regardless, your skin colour can speak through Mayore Beauty products.

“So far we have we have 1000 partners who have been helping us to promote our products. So in terms of scaling, we’re going to do what we think is most efficient in getting the largest and broadest foothold in the continent. So that means producing here domestically, or indigenously is something we’re going to consider in the future.

“We are working to collaborate with a lot of makeup artists. We literally have an army of makeup artist as part of our value chain that we’re going to leverage in deploying our products out.”

Speaking further, he disclosed that Mayore had been a household name in Brazil and a lot of marketing strategies were in line to penetrate the Nigerian market to serve Nigerians the best beauty products.

He added, “Mayore has been in existence for about three years in Brazil where we have made the brand and household product and we introducing it into the Nigerian market.

“Our vision was to make Mayore launch in Nigeria but logistics and pandemic made it a bit of a challenge. At that time, we couldn’t ask our clients to keep waiting for us to launch. But today we are here in Nigeria.

“I’m glad we are getting to launch in Nigeria. With the background and experience and having launched in such a huge international cosmetic market like Brazil, the fourth largest cosmetic industry in the world, so we figured if we could be successful there it’s a soft landing for us in Nigeria and it’s happening already.”

Speaking on accessibility of the products, Oghayore noted that Mayore Beauty team had been able to penetrate the market, insisting that in a few months from now Mayore products will be everywhere in the Nigerian market.

He said, “We have looked and we’ve tested a lot of products. The good news for Nigeria is that Mayore does not have competition in Nigeria.

“We have been compared with against every top makeup brand you could think of and Mayore Beauty quality products keep speaking for itself. I don’t need to like try to list enough international cosmetic brands, which I think you’re familiar with, but in several independent tests done here in Nigeria,

we actually performed better in terms of quality and sustainability.”

Oghayore further revealed that other activities lined up to promote Mayore products in Nigeria includes hangout with makeup artistes, partnership with the media and road activations that will ultimately lead to a fashion show.

He also said Mayore Beauty as a way of giving back to the society, will commence free training of young makeup artistes by equipping them with business structure ideas.
