Well-known Afrobeats musician Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, who goes by the name Ayra Starr, made an appearance on Beats 99.9 FM’s morning drive show recently. During the interview, Ayra Starr discussed her upcoming album and the artists she collaborated with.
She shared how she managed to get two of Nigeria’s top Afrofusion stars to feature on her album despite rumors of a feud between them. Ayra Starr also mentioned meeting Rihanna and feeling confident that she creates music that the American pop star would appreciate. She expressed her admiration for both Seyi Vibez and Asake‘s music styles.
The Mavins record label artist emphasized her love for unique sounds and how she reached out to Seyi Vibez after being inspired by his song “Different Pattern.” She also talked about working with Asake and how quickly he responded to her collaboration request. It was reported earlier that Yung Duu had suggested Ayra Starr collaborate with Seyi Vibez on a new track.
