“Peter Obi’s Reputation Under Attack: The Dangers of Impersonation in Politics”

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for Nigeria’s Labour Party, has warned that his reputation is being harmed by individuals impersonating him and mimicking his voice. He took to Twitter after the son of former Kogi governor, Abubakar Audu, alleged he had spoken to Obi. The impersonating incidents aren’t limited to Nigeria. Obi has been confronted with the “latest incident” outside of a court in Abuja. He told reporters a man accused him of religious and ethnic bigotry, claiming that Obi had called him and abruptly hung up after speaking Igbo, a local language.

Peter Obi, the Nigerian Labour Party presidential candidate, has raised concerns about his impersonators mimicking his voice in order to damage his reputation. In a recent incident, the son of former Kogi governor, Abubakar Audu, alleged to have received a call from Peter Obi. This led to Peter Obi alerting the public through his official Twitter account that his imposters were on the rampage. Peter Obi has also voiced that he is being targeted at home and abroad, referring to his unresolved UK saga. Despite the Nigerian election body allegedly ripping off his desired presidential votes, Peter Obi has been on the verge to restore his attributes. He stated that he has been a target both locally and internationally, and his duplicates are still active, mimicking his voice and calling people. In response to Prince Mustapha Audu’s allegations of bigotry, Peter Obi told him that he was not in Abuja on Tuesday as he was in Nice, France. The incident at the Court of Appeal premises of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal venue is just one of the many desperate efforts to run him down and tag him as what he is not. Peter Obi appeals to the public to beware of such cheap tricks of impersonating him for whatever ulterior intentions. Peter Obi’s recent concerns have raised the question of whether he is fit to rule Nigeria or not.

He recently raised an alarm on his official Twitter account, following allegations made by the son of a former Kogi governor, Abubakar Audu who claimed that he had received a call from Peter Obi.

Peter Obi has also drawn attention to his ongoing issues in the UK and the efforts being made to ruin his reputation. He is determined to restore his image following the alleged vote-rigging by Nigeria’s election body, which cost him his desired presidential votes.

He said, “My duplicates are still on the rampage, they now mimic my voice and call people. There is no limit that people cannot go to cause mischief on their target. I have been a target both locally and internationally,” and “It is quite very worrisome because this is certainly not the right way to develop a nation that is in dire need of positive changes that will enable her to join the League of Nations that are moving forward. I appeal to the public to beware and not be easily deceived with the cheap tricks of impersonating me for whatever ulterior intentions.”
