The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that they have received the official petition from Tiwa Savage against Davido.
Tiwa Savage has filed a petition against her colleague Davido, also known as David Adeleke, because he has been harassing her and making threats against her life.
The singer of “Somebody’s Son” has accused Davido of using disrespectful language in response to a post that mentioned both herself and the singer’s baby mama, Sophia Momodu, which was included in the widely circulated petition.
The singer expressed her disappointment with Davido’s threats and reassured him of her support during difficult times for his family, especially when he lost his son Ifeanyi.
However, she claims to have received calls from acquaintances asking about her behavior that may have upset Davido, and about her friendship with Sophia.
Responding to an inquiry from PUNCH, The Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed on Tuesday that an investigation has been launched into the accusations.
He said,
“I can confirm to you that we have received the petition, and investigation has commenced.”
