Olatosho Oshoffa, the pastoral leader of the Celestial Church of Christ International Headquarters in Ketu, disapproved of the invitation of Portable and Pasuma to a church praise night. The cancelation was announced on Facebook, in response to a flyer released by the Celestial Church of Christ, Land of Goshen in Lagos. The announcement sparked controversy on social media, with some Nigerians expressing disappointment and questioning whether the church was becoming a place for amusement. Oshoffa addressed the controversies on his Facebook page, stating that the contested artists would not be coming for the nights and the poster was condemned. He also assured that the Shepherd in Charge of the parish promised amendments to the posters.

Olatosho Oshoffa who is the pastoral leader of the Celestial Church of Christ International Headquarters in Ketu took to his Facebook page to announce the cancelation of the invitation.
The flyer for their worship night, which featured Portable, Pasuma, and May Shua, was released by the Celestial Church of Christ, Land of Goshen in Lagos on Wednesday.
On social media, however, the announcement brought about a tsunami of responses from many Nigerians. Some called it depressing, while others questioned whether the temple of God was becoming a place for amusement.

Reacting to the controversies on his Facebook page, Oshoffa said,
“Dear Celestians, I have just spoken to the Shepherd in Charge of the above Parish at length. He has promised to make amendments to the posters.
“He has promised that the said contested artists would NOT come for the nights. There is no doubt the said poster is very CONDEMNABLE. God bless CCC. Amen.”
