Afrobeat gem Davido created controversy on social media when he referred to Burna Boy as a cat during a recent interview where he discussed his connection with Wizkid, whom he lauded as a sensational singer. 
In the interview, Davido stated that he and Wizkid had already become successful before the likes of Burna Boy, Asake, and Rema made their debut. However, a viral video of him allegedly demeaning Burna Boy by comparing him to a cat has created a stir among fans and critics alike. 
Despite the controversy, Davido emphasized that he is happy to witness the success of new artists like Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun, and Asake.
“Wizkid and I were the first young artistes to blow up and it feels good seeing new cats like Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun and Asake kllling it now”, Davido said.
