Nigerian singer Oxlade expressed his desire to own the hit songs “You” by Omah Lay and “King” by Fireboy during an interview with Beat 99.9 FM. He stated that he believes he would have done justice to the vocals in “You” and that “King” is a song he really wished he had sung. Oxlade also mentioned that Fireboy is his best friend, and Nigerians reacted strongly to his statements on social media.
 

Nigerian singer, Oxlade has publicly declared that he wished he owned some of his colleagues’ hit songs.

During his recent interview with Beat 99.9 FM, the ‘woman’ crooner disclosed that he would have loved to be the one who sang ‘You’ by Omah Lay.

While disclosing his craving to owning the hit song he added that he would also loved to have been the artist who sang ‘King’ by Fireboy.

His words:

“The song I wish I sang that I really wish I sang… They are two actually. There is ‘You’ by Omah Lay. I feel like I would murder that song with vocals.”

“And then there is ‘King’ by Fireboy. That song… For the first time in my life, I really wanted to be the person that sang ‘King.’ Fireboy is my best friend. We are pretty close.”
