The Headies Award Board nominated Burna Boy and Davido for their incredible 2023 albums, but snubbed Wizkid’s ‘More love less Ego’.

His fans were not happy about this and speculated that the Nigerian Afrobeat Giant deliberately didn’t submit his album for a possible nomination, giving room for the new generation to shine.

Other sources revealed that the ‘Caro’ crooner did submit his album but was snubbed due to its perceived low quality as it was considered a mid-album deserving no recognition.

This is the first time the Nigerian music mogul failed to secure a nomination in any category at the Headies Annual Music Awards. However, he is still the most-awarded artist in Headies Award history with 20 plaques.
